Sponsors Needed

It is difficult sometimes to think about another person’s problem until it is in front of us. We make assumption that someone else will come to their rescue, or if I turn the other side, I will not see and it will not affect me. It is even easier to sponsor a child in Africa, Haiti or Asia and have their pictures sent to us. Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power.., and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and all the ends of the earth”. My Jerusalem is California right now and that is where my witness begins. It is more devastating for abused and neglected children who are in front of us to survive when the people who are supposed to help and protect them don’t. Remember, today’s teenagers are tomorrow’s leaders. What we do now to these children will affect each one of us somehow knowingly or unknowingly.

I have worked with various non profit organizations in CA dealing with abused and neglected children for over 15 years. My job titles were: counselor, social worker, therapist, clinician, mental health therapist with teenagers who were: Emotionally, Psychological, Sexually and Physically Abused and Neglected. Over the years, I have witnessed despair and desperation when these teenagers approach the age of 18 and are about to exit the system. (The system is Department of Children and Family Services, Probation and the Court). I am a licensed foster parent by the State of California – License # 360015494 for teenagers. A decision I made with eagerness.

Cross Cultural Adoption and Foster Parent(s) is non-profit organization 501 (c) 3 EIN #27-1179338 and is tax deductible. Your sponsorship for one teenager will make a difference, not only today but in the years to come.
